Short version: we collect your email so we can tell you when the drops are real. That's it. Here's the long version.
who this is
too hot for corporate ("we," "us") runs this site at toohotfor.com. This policy covers what we collect through it, why, and what say you have over it. Questions go to hello@toohotfor.com.
what we collect
Your email address, and only if you give it to us — through the movement-wide waitlist or a product-specific waitlist form. If you sign up for a specific drop, we also note which one, so we know what to email you about.
If you submit a story on the record, we collect whatever you type into that form: your moment, your initials, and any optional context you choose to add (job title, company, age). We don't collect your name or email through that form — there's nothing in it that could trace a submission back to you.
Purchases are handled by Stripe on its own checkout page, so your card details go to Stripe and never touch this site. Stripe collects what it needs to complete an order (such as your name, shipping address, and payment details) and shares the order details with us so we can ship it. Nowhere else on this site do we ask for your name, phone number, address, or payment details.
how we use it
Waitlist emails: to email you when a drop goes live, when the waitlist opens for early access, or with occasional movement updates. Nothing else — no third-party marketing, no "partners you might like," no resale of any kind.
Record submissions: we review every submission before anything is published. If we publish yours, it appears on the record page exactly as you wrote it, showing only the initials and optional details you chose to include.
who else sees it
Four vendors process data on our behalf, strictly to run the site:
- Formspree handles waitlist and record submissions and stores what you submit. See Formspree's privacy policy.
- Netlify hosts the site and, like any host, logs standard technical data (IP address, browser type, request times) for security and performance. See Netlify's privacy policy.
- Stripe processes payments and order details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare provides cookieless, aggregate traffic analytics (see "cookies & tracking" below).
We don't sell or rent your information to anyone, for any reason.
cookies & tracking
This site doesn't run advertising trackers, and it doesn't set its own cookies. We do use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregate traffic — page views, visits, which pages get read, and roughly what country and device people use. It's cookieless: it doesn't use cookies or local storage, doesn't fingerprint you, and doesn't track you across sites or build profiles of individual visitors. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. If you'd rather not be counted, a browser with tracking protection or an ad blocker will usually stop it.
how long we keep it
We keep your email until a drop ships and you've either bought in or told us to stop, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.
your say in this
Every email we send has an unsubscribe option. You can also just email hello@toohotfor.com and ask us to remove your information — no exit interview, no reason required.
If you submitted a moment to the record and want it taken down, email us with enough detail to identify it (the report number, or the wording) — since we don't collect a name or email on that form, that's the only way we can find it.
kids
This site isn't directed at anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
changes to this policy
If this changes in any meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Checking back is on you — we won't email you about a policy update.
